Mark Sutcliffe Releases Full Platform

“Change That Works for You. A Plan for All of Ottawa” the most comprehensive policy document in a municipal campaign over a decade

OTTAWA, ON - Promising to deliver change that works for all of Ottawa, Mayoral candidate Mark Sutcliffe released his complete platform document today, with one week to go before voters head to the polls.

The document, titled Change That Works for You. A Plan for All of Ottawa includes all of the policy announcements Sutcliffe has made since he launched his campaign at the end of June.

The platform, published in both official languages, focuses on eight major priorities:

  • Leadership for a Safer Ottawa

  • Leadership for More Reliable Transportation and Roads

  • Leadership to Make Housing More Affordable

  • Leadership for a Cleaner, Greener Ottawa

  • Leadership for a More Affordable Ottawa

  • Leadership for a Strong Economy

  • Leadership for a Revitalized Downtown and ByWard Market

  • Leadership for a Better City for Everyone (including commitments from Hello|Bonjour, Mark’s commitment to francophones)

The platform is one of the most comprehensive policy documents to be released in a municipal campaign in the last decade.

“This is a critical election and voters have a very clear choice,” said Sutcliffe. “This document reflects how I will act on the priorities I’ve heard about from residents in thousands of conversations I’ve had in rural, suburban and urban Ottawa. I’m so proud to have a platform that speaks directly to the real, everyday challenges facing people in our city.”

“This is a plan that speaks to the biggest issues faced by Ottawa residents today, including fixing our broken roads and transit system, improving community safety or finding ways to make life more affordable. These are balanced and practical actions on how to make life in Ottawa better for everyone. I look forward to putting it into action should I be elected Mayor next week,” said Sutcliffe.
