We recognized one of Ottawa’s most distinguished veterans of the Second World War, Captain Thomas George Fuller, by naming a new street in the neighbourhood of Queensview as the “Captain Fuller Way”.
Captain Thomas George Fuller holds the distinction of the longest time served in offensive action and was recognized by King George VI for receiving the Distinguished Service Cross. His desire to serve his country and community continued throughout his life, as he and his wife Jeanne were the founding patrons of the Bytown Brigantine Tall Ships Adventure charity.
Thank you to Captain Fuller’s family for joining us as honour someone who served his community and his country with pride and dedication.
