You probably heard the news recently that Ottawa has received more than 176 million dollars from the federal government's Housing Accelerator Fund. It's a big win for our city. But how will the money be used?

The vast majority of the funds will go toward building affordable housing. Over the next three years, this funding will help build almost 4,500 homes in total, four thousand five hundred homes - including many affordable housing units.

The funding will also help us speed up our approval process so more homes are being built faster.

So it's a big step forward for our city as we tackle the housing crunch. This will help build more homes, especially more affordable homes, and help build them faster.
