It was the perfect day to open Farmers’ Markets in Ottawa starting with the Metcalfe Farmer’s market with Councillor George Darouze and his great team.
The Main Street Farmer’s Market also opened in its new location. It was wonderful to meet residents and local vendors in the new location.
Next up was the Parkdale Public Market which has been the spot where farmers and small businesses meet their customers, neighbours and the community for 100 years. It was a real pleasure to celebrate the Market’s centenary with the community.
I didn’t let the rain stop me from visiting the amazing artisans and small businesses at the Original Navan Market at the Navan Fairgrounds.
