Visiting Riverside South-Findlay Creek

I visited Riverside South-Findlay Creek with Councillor Desroches and caught up with local entrepreneur Mr. Hedroj from Creek Shawarma and Bakery - he became another recipient of the official Shawarma Capital of Canada certificate. 

We went to see the great progress on the resurfacing and expansion of Bank Street to four lanes. I encourage everyone to support our local Findlay Creek businesses during this construction, including the fantastic Aroma Indian Cuisine. It was great to connect with residents of Riverside South-Findlay Creek yesterday and hear about the challenges and opportunities that matter most to you. Your voices are important!

Councillor Desroches and stopped in on Blissful Garden Bouquets. I In 2021, the founder of local charity Blissful Garden Bouquets, Ogo, started delivering flowers to hospital patients who needed an extra bit of joy. Today, Blissful Garden Bouquets has delivered over 1500 flower bouquets to long term care homes. That’s simply incredible. Thank you, Ogo and your amazing team, for all that you do.
