Remembrance Day in Ottawa 2024

I joined Councillor George Darouze and the Metcalfe community for their Remembrance Day ceremony. Thank you to everyone who came to pay tribute.

We also had the privilege of attending the Remembrance Day ceremony in Vars. There are ceremonies all across Ottawa where residents can gather to honour our veterans and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

I joined the Ottawa Professional Firefighters Association for their annual Remembrance Day Breakfast. It was great to spend the morning with the Ottawa Fire Services Management Team, our hardworking firefighters, Councillors George Darouze, Tim Tierney Rawlson King, Laine Johnson, David Hill, Sean Devine, Ariel Troster, Catherine Kitts, Yasir Naqvi, Marie-France Lalonde and John Fraser. It was a chance to connect and share a moment together before they all head out to perform their solemn duties at the many Remembrance Day ceremonies happening across Ottawa.

I was honoured to join the Orléans Legion Branch 632 for their Remembrance Day ceremony and to lay a wreath alongside Councillors Matthew Luloff, Tim Tierney, Laura Dudas, and the community. It was a powerful moment to reflect and pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our veterans and fallen heroes. Thank you to everyone who came together today to remember and show gratitude.

I'm grateful to have joined Councillors Allan Hubley, Cathy Curry and MP Jenna Sudds at the Kanata Legion Branch 638 for their Remembrance Day Luncheon today. It’s a special time in our city to come together, share stories, and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served. Thank you to the Kanata community for keeping this important tradition alive and honouring our veterans.

Proud to have joined Councillors Theresa Kavanagh and Jeff Leiper, Yasir Naqvi and the community at the Westboro Cenotaph for Remembrance Day ceremonies. It was moving to see so many gathered to honour our veterans and fallen heroes, and to lay wreaths together in gratitude for their sacrifice. Thank you to everyone who came out to remember and show support.
