$220 million in new funding from the federal government

I joined Minister Jenna Sudds and other Ottawa MPs to announce the $180 million in investment in public transit in Ottawa. This will help address our budget shortfalls in the next few years and ensure we can maintain, grow, and improve service. 

The $180 million in funding negotiated with the federal government will significantly help Ottawa’s transit budget over the next few years. We’ll continue to invest in public transit as a vital public service and economic driver. 

We’re working hard to find solutions for the systemic shortfalls in transit funds over the next 10 years. The $180 million we’ve negotiated from the federal government will help close the gap over the next few years in particular. Thank you to our federal partners for their support.
