2026 City Budget

Building and improving our city involves making the right investments. As we look ahead to the 2026 City budget, we’re focused on protecting and investing in the things that matter most to you: safety, reliability, and affordability. That’s why we’re working toward a budget that keeps the tax increase low while making significant investments in key priorities like public transit and public safety. Watch my videos below for some key highlights of the 2026 City Budget.

Roads and Sidewalks

I hear from residents all the time about the condition of our roads and sidewalks. With over 6,100 km of roads to maintain, we’re increasing our investment again this year to deliver the quality and reliability our community expects.

Investing in Public Safety

Everyone in Ottawa deserves to feel safe in their home and in their neighbourhood. That’s why we’re making record investments in public safety in the 2026 City Budget.

Keeping Taxes Low. Safe Reliable Affordable Ottawa

Ottawa families are under pressure from rising costs and the prospect of federal job cuts. That’s why we’ve kept tax increases lower than any other major city in Canada. I promised to work every day to make Ottawa safer, more reliable, and more affordable.

Affordability has been at the heart of our city budget

Everyone is feeling the impact of rising costs. In this video, I share how we’ve kept our tax increases so low and why I’ll keep working hard to protect affordability for you and your family.
