Celebrating Canada Day in the capital

I had a great time travelling the city and celebrating our nation's birthday with Ottawa residents. I hosted the Mayor's Breakfast for Seniors at Lansdowne Park, and then dropped in on the Byward Market, Riverside South, Greely, Orleans, Barrhaven, Munster, Stittsville and Kanata.

It was an incredible morning. Thank you The Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for joining me.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who worked together to make this year’s Seniors breakfast extra special.

Canada Day got off to a great start with so much going on in the ByWard market. It was great to see everyone out.

Ottawa was out celebrating all over the city. I dropped by Claudette Cain Park and met great residents and enjoyed the party.

It was a lot of fun visiting the Orleans Ohhhh Canada Kids festival. And that cake!

Canada Day celebrations in Greely were amazing. Great to stop and chat with residents in the community with Councillor Darouze.

There was so much going on all over Ottawa for Canada Day. It was great to be among the Barrhaven community with councillors Hill and Lo.

Canada Day events around the city were made possible by our amazing communities like Munster. It was nice to meet councillor Brown and celebrate with residents.

We also got to celebrate with Councillor Gower in Stittsville and meet the amazing people behind their incredible event. Congratulations on such a success.

Communities that come together to celebrate are communities that thrive. Our last stop was Kanata and the Canada Day vibe was incredible. Thank you Councillor Hubley and Curry for joining us.
