#ShopLocal #BuyCanadian in Wellington West and Orléans

As part of our ongoing Shop Local, Buy Canadian campaign, I had the pleasure of visiting some incredible local businesses this week. I stopped by SuzyQ in Wellington West — a true Ottawa favourite with great people, amazing donuts, and a welcoming vibe that embodies everything we love about local businesses.

I also had the chance to visit the Tortilla Maker on St. Joseph Blvd. This family-owned gem serves up authentic Mexican food with heart and pride. Their food is incredible, and the tortilla maker itself is a sight to see — a perfect example of how local businesses bring something unique and special to our community.

I dropped into Houle Sports in Orléans, a proud, Canadian-owned local business that’s been supporting Ottawa’s sports teams for years.

I spoke owner Marc Plante of Stray Dog Brewing Company with RGA’s Carl Poirier—another fantastic example of local passion and entrepreneurship. It’s about great beer, of course, but it’s also about building a real community around it. This is exactly why we should support the businesses that make our city great!
