I stopped by the new Via Cibo location in Barrhaven with Councillor David Hill where we met Himalay, the owner. He gave us a tour of the beautiful new space — complete with a pizza oven imported from Italy — and we had the chance to try their delicious gelato.
I'm always grateful for the opportunity to meet the people behind Ottawa’s small businesses. It was a real pleasure meeting the folks Tommy Gun’s in Barrhaven this week. Barbershops have always been a place where people connect and conversations happen. Local businesses like this help make our city feel like home.
Next, we stopped by Firehouse Subs with Councillor. It’s clear why this spot has become a local favourite in the community. I also had the chance to visit Dickey's Barbeque Pit, where the staff gave me a warm welcome and shared more about their business. Thank you for the important role you play in Barrhaven and in supporting our local economy.
